My opinion of Tascam is less informed, but they seem mostly clueless as a company. Their products may be decent, but their engineering staff is completely worthless for communication and making products that make sense. I am avoiding them like the plague as I have no belief at all that their products will work reliably for years to come. I would stick with Denon or JVC or maybe look at Marantz - though Marantz leaves me scratching my head sometimes as well.
