Hi guys I am trying to buy a cd player (cd audio quality is main concern) I am looking for used audio players online What do you guys reccommend Denon DVD-2900 vs. marantz cc-65 special edition vs. marantz 4000?

Thanks everyone:)

Yeh  I showed it to my wife and she hated it - looks mainly - even the center part. So next thought I am thinking of getting a receiver and put it on top of the closet completely out of sight therefore does not have to be "cute". It would be great if it has two zones that way I can use it to also drive a speaker I would put in the guest bathroom and I would use my current dvd player sony dvp-ns70H to play cds in that room with Orb speakers. What do you think of this? Any suggestions for a receiver that has dual zone but stays around $200-300 and is of reasonable quality?

The CD changer is for the master bedroom since all the electronics in the master bedroom is kind of outt of the way so there is no esthetic issue or if my wife liked it (looks wise that is) I can put it in that guest room. :)

I had a similar situation recently, with the wife/closet, bought a real nice Pioneer 919, excellent Ipod integration without a extra dock, plenty of power, microphone calibration, HDMI, USB inputs, doesn't produce a lot of heat. Check it out, it might be a little more than you want to go, but really a bargain for what you get.
Used Cd player, I love the Denon 2900, I have the Denon 3800 DVD, which has excellent sound. I would also add that I have a Onkyo Cd changer, and it produces similar results.
Just an extra thought here, I purchased Polk Audio Rti A1 bookshelf speakers, which are incredible for what they are.

I will have to say it since nobody else did.OPPO is by far the best cd/dvd player I myself have heard. Cheap and very well built amazing sound.

I agree, but they don't offer a changer. If the OP doesn't care if it's single disc, I'd go with an Oppo myself.

Hi guys, what do you think of a used marantz cc-65 for around $180?I've read that these older models are even better than the newer marantz. I am planning on putting this in the master bedroom - does it make alot of noise when changing cds? - it's pretty important for me that it does not.

I dont know musta9, but I'll repost a list I've shared a couple of times here, the last time being over a year ago (maybe prices have dropped or something). Granted, they're mostly over the budget you're looking at, but ya never know. Sorry, if many of them are dc'd, and can't be found.
