cd/dvd lens cleaning kits

one of my dvd players is pausing and skipping, especially near the end of the movies. the dvds are clean, so I'm assuming it's the lens that needs cleaning. I went to amazon and searched for lens cleaning products. they have a dry and a wet lens cleaning disc kit, both from rca. are these decent? which one is best? or both combined?
also, if anybody knows of an okay scratch repair kit, please advise. thanks.

How old is the player? How is the inside air quality? It would take a lot to have dirty lens be the cause.

Unplug the unit and have a look inside, if that is an option for you???

Is it a good player? For the price and time it would take to order a lens cleaning kit, you could have run down to Walmart and picked up a $25 player.

I've had a Discwasher cd cleaning disc and solution for years, and never used it. I can't comment if it's any good or not.

Just like the 'Airborn' experiment I did First I took one before flying, didn't get a cold. Then I just carried it with me. Same results. Now, I just leave it home with the same results

I guess just having that cleaner is enough to keep the lens clean enough
