A family member of mine incorrectly placed some of my audio CDs back into my old CD case (in reverse). Now the ink that was on the front of the CD has now transferred to the back. Using water and a soft rag does not do clean this stuff off. What can I use to clean the ink off?

BTW if this is not the correct forum for this question, please accept my apologies. I'm new to this board.

I have successfully used windex - and you can scrub a bit harder with a cloth or paper towel. Be sure to scrub in a direction that is outward from the center (not along the rotational path) and you should be OK, even if you accidentally create a scratch.

CDs are more forgiving then people think, and you can abuse them quite a bit before the error correction can't handle it.
