I'm doing the CAT5e V1 project posted on this site.

I ran my 4 cables and i split the positive and negative by color types. Meaning the (solid resistors) are Positve and the (White colored) resistors are my negative. Is this ok..? Or should i really separate them by having 2 for positive and 2 for negative...?

Im also using CAT5e 350mhz from home depot. Non-plenum, PVC jacket Polyethylene coded resistors is this ok for audio and video..? I was thinking on making my own component cables using this also..

It's just wire so you can use any convention you like. Choosing the solid color for positive and the striped for negative is fine, but why bother with Cat5 in the first place? Normal speaker wire is far cheaper and alot easier to work with.

I dunno about using the cat5 cables for video. You might get issues because the cable won't have the proper impedance. Stick to coax if you're making video cables.

Thanks guys..

MDS:
I just read good things about CAT5e as speaker cables and tried a small test on my speakers. I notice a slight sharper, cleaner sound by using CAT5 and wanted to go through out my entire setup.

Thanks for the heads up...
