I am not sure If this is the correct place:confused:
What is the best brand(quality of sound and features) of cassette player recorder.below to $200. What you recommended to me?

Now that you can record cds and mp3 not too many folks use cassettes anymore. If you do actually want one, I had a Sony ES that made pretty good sounding tapes, for as good as tapes can sound. That should be pretty easy to find on ebay.

$200 is a ridiculous price for a cassette recorder.
Ebay is a good place to look.

I had an Onkyo TA-2048 back in the '80s. It still works good today, but I can't say it gets much use.

Onkyo made pretty good recorders back then.

I have a TA-R240 from the same era, that's also hasn't been used in a while. I remember being really happy with its quality, though. So, I'm just seconding that Onkyo made good recorders back then.

I agree that $200 is way too much. I would think they are easily had for $50 or less.
