Cassandra Wilson – Traveling Miles Review (DTS Review)

This album is a tribute to the spirit of Davis as created by Cassandra Wilson. Cassandra Wilson is a jazz vocalist in the traditional sense. She uses her husky voice to explore the rhythms and tonalities of each of the songs on this album. While the overriding theme of the album is jazz, songs range from a more traditional Miles Davis sound to funk to very nearly pop. Often the only “jazzy” sounding element is the vocals and the upright bass.

DTS is OK but there is something wrong in DVD-A multichannel

Hi,

you just tested the DTS perfromance that is Ok as you say but the studio recordings never really have proper ambiosonics because the sound stage is artificial.

BUT IN MY DVD-A DISC, THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG IN THE MULTICHANNEL RECORDING!!!!

I think the order of channels is not correct e.g. Cassanrda's voice is located to the main left channel .... I think that the order of channels is not correct!!!!
They have made a serious error while making this DVD-A. You just cannot listen to the MLP multi-channel at all.

No wonder DVD-A is dead .....
