Carver Receivers

I am just curious if Carver is still making receivers or amps anymore? Years ago I got a great deal on a display model from Best Buy. I have to say of all the receivers and amps I have owned over the years - Carver was far the best sound. The tuner came in crystal clear when I listened to the radio on it.

However I wanted a home theater receiver so I sold my Carver amp and preamp on Ebay. I can't believe how much in demand they are. I almost got what I paid for it brand new!

The closest you will get is Sunfire. I am not up on their product offerings so I don't know if they have product with all the latest formats supported (assuming this is what you are looking for).

Every now and then I just like window shopping online. Not really ready to upgrade my receiver just yet. Thanks for the info!

That Sunfire - TGR-401 is pretty impressive. Over 200 watts but not ready to spend $3000 on a receiver right now!

im ussually hesitant if best buy carries it lol. but ya check out that sunfire, it might be rightup yoru alley.
