We just finished remolding the never used extra sunken living room int a av room and the dining room next to it into a super nice bar area , now needs AV for new 65 inch Samsung curved TV Also need Big HI FI in that room
and need multiple zone music in bar area ,hot tub area and back deck area

current gear
65 inch Samsung curved TV
carver hr-750
the older klipschs quarts
32 inch TV in bar
Samsung sound bar with sub for new TV but disconnected it ,and use the carver and klipsch instead
older vintage jbl speakers over hot tube , not hooked up any more
older JBL book shelf speakers on back deck .
yanked out the old Yamaha pos receiver and Sherwin Vegas that were in living room

Thinking
Oppo 205 when comes out, Is that better than old school carver for receiver part
Sonos for streaming needs .
Para sound halo amp
klipschs quartets for mains and pick up academy or klf-c7 for center and find some matching rears
MK 8 sub
I can not do any more than a 5.1 due to room lay out and do not want to
Should i stick with 2.1 3.1 or go 5.1 as HI FI trumps HT for me
was thinking nice speakers and amp for the bar area , space is an issue, Wall speakers Joke or not ?
I am kind of guy that likes it loud and clear once in a while like with my boat HI FI i , but clear all the time

I heard a new $$$ klipsch system demoed with integera av and was great on HT but not all impressive on HI FI cranked up and the salesman asked me if i wanted to sell my old klpsch

Is my thinking wracked ? or am i on right track ? Thanks in advance for much needed advice!!

Recommended center that I found for the quartets were the KV-3 or KV-4 or Academy. While I am sure they are fine, if it were me I would do a new setup and keep those for music rather than trying to locate a center.

Wall speakers joke.

Oppo 203 is out now and it is not a receiver.

I think the best option is to have a 5.2 system (dual subs have significant advantages) and use it as 2.2 when you are listening to typical music recorded in stereo.
Invest in your main speakers and either reuse old speaker or buy less expensive for your surrounds. The center is a bit of a quandary as you want to put all the money you can in your L & R for best sound quality (speakers is where you will realize the most benefit), but you still want your center to match timbre with your L&R. Once you know what speakers you will use for your L&R, we can look at centers. Depending on your room layout and the location of your mains, you may not need a center (aka "phantom center").

Sorry have been out of the home audio a long time and never really never did the video thing ,
So what options do i have to pull that off to keep those or any thing else for music & full fill the need for home theater without having 2 systems or 2 rooms ?? . Forget the other zone needs for now

I have read enough to learn a lot of whats cool and good and bad on the inside components and features and such , even some set up and measurement knowledge learned here and there ,alot of dos and donts and thanks for those , but getting my head around of what combinations one needs or different options of how to combine components for cretin results , is my short coming , and to top it off changes so fast it ,

My gut tells me if i go AV Receiver all in one I will still need an amp for shore , and maybe that is the answer ?? , i would prefer a cheaper way to upgrade rather than replacing a $ 2500 AV sooner than later , This is why the oppo question ,
I spoke with Oppo and in about six months they hope to have the updated 105d and possible call it the 205 , and i know the 203 is just a bad ass blue ray player ,

If it was not for the video side , I would like to try the halo integrated amp and a sub would finish the audio , or some other easy cool audio combo , but video Im lost for now on how combine what i need to achieve the results i want , or is this a top secret subject ? as i have searched and read many things here and watched many videos with that quest , learned a ton of other stuff along the way but I still came up short so far and will keep searching audio universe with that quest !!! and thanks for the reply and any help ,

The room is 20 x 14 . east to west is 20 ft no west wall . north to south is 14 and tv is on south wall
missing west wall goes into bar area with hard wood floors , TV room has carpet , and double doors on north wall behind seating ,
Maybe with a better processor i might not need center ,
I love the klipsch but unless is because of no center , no processor for TV , the room lay out of how i have them towed in a little they seem to seem to kind sweet spot spks for now and thanks KEW i like the idea of 2 subs !!!!
