Dammit!

I kind of lost respect for Carroll the last few years since he's really seemed to go over the top commercial. But he definitely was a pioneer in the auto world. RIP Carroll.

I am sure that is because he was calling the shots, but not really doing the work like in his early years. I can't imagine he was a fan of all the electronics and stuff in newer cars. Someone else took the company in that direction IMO, and I wasn't too impressed with what they had done either. Even with his passing, I hope the company lives on and does his legacy proud.

I saw a kit Cobra on the road today. A guy near me owns a original with a replacement 460 in it...boy is it loud!:) (Rumor has it that he has an original engine for it)

A friend of mine named his daughter Shelby.

For some reason I would love one of these a a beater toy...

Truly an automotive legend.

RIP Carrol.

The guy was a pioneer and legend in the automotive and racing worlds. He had a hand in creating some of the greatest cars of all time (Shelby Cobra, Dodge Viper, Ford GT to name a few). Regardless of recent years' commercial cash grabbing (which I firmly believe was his right as an American do to), he was also a very generous philanthropist (very much unlike a personal electronics pioneer who recently passed). I would say he lived a very good and full life.

I am sure he won't be doing any resting in the next life, so Race in Peace, CS. :D
