I used to be really into car stereo back when I was in high school so I worked alot with subs and boxes and was wondering if anyone had done a set up where they used car audio subs. I always loved JL audio subs because of their performance and sound quality and thought it might translate great into a home theater set up. So if anyone has tried this let me know how it went and some pictures possibly and also where u can purchase amps w/ built in crossovers for home theater use.

Thanks for you input.

You can buy sub plate amplifiers from here Partsexpress dot com
dot =. This post will not allow for this html code.
There are a few there, I have done this and it worked well. But I am off to buy a new JBL HT sub. Just make sure your box is fitted correctly for the particular sub, for best effiecincy. A high spl rating does help. But surely you know this.

It is a cheap place to try a first DIY project. They have some class A/B amps and others up to 1000 watts. And the one I just looked at Actually has a stated fairly clean power of 272 watts at 0.2% THD The 1000 watt is rated at 1024 watts at 0.15 THD. Granted no name brands. Well actually their site does have some name brands. MTX, etc...

But its a cheap way for a small project..............
However I am assuming this name is like dirt here for some reason, Kinda like B.o.s.e.
