yes i was wondering if it was possable to use car audio ...say i want to build a tower speaker and would like to use 2 6x9 type speakers .....in a seperated cabnet but wire it so it is 8ohm ....

any sugestions ...spacific things i should watch for ....alot of companies have the sugested box peramaters and port tunings ....and such so i figured it would be a fairly sinmple build and faily cheap ....

its just pure hobby and dont expect anything great ..but tips and tweaks and personal info would be greatly appreciated ....

You can try it, just make sure to use good cabinet construction tecnique (bracing, adhesives, predrilling, ect.). Try to get a hold of the thiele small parameters for the woofer portion of the 6x9.

The enclosure will likey get large due to the fact that a 6x9 in most cases is designed for free air operation. As far as impedence goes you can wire the speakers in series.
