Its funny how this infinity amp is rated at 111W Rms per channel
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Infinity-4-Channel-Amplifier-7541A-/sem/rpsm/oid/116769/catOid/-13644/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

But in the same price range other amps are just about 50W to about 60W per channel( A MTX and Kicker Amp ) :-

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Kicker-4-Channel-Ampifier-KX350-4-/sem/rpsm/oid/117413/catOid/-13644/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/MTX-4-Channel-Amplifier-TA3404-/sem/rpsm/oid/118179/catOid/-13644/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

I think Infinity is a repuated brand !!They wouldnt be outrite givin false ratings rite ??? Or is it just one heck of a superb deal to get that kinda power for that cheap ?? Explain me the whole story, Im so confused !!

Any help, info will be appreciated

Also if i drive my pioneer 80W Rms rear speakers with this 111W Rms Infinity Amp , Will i blow them beacuse of the extra power ?????

The spec sheet is king of skimpy and not all have all the necessary info. One is rated at 1% distortion, the others don't say anything about their distortion at rated power. They do deliver this power to 4 Ohm loads. That Infinity seems pretty good on the surface, based on this skimpy info:D

Are you powering two or four speakers? Get a two channel amp if you are only driving two rear speakers. $300 is excessing unless you're driving some demanding subs. If you are bridging subs, make sure the amp is stable at lower impedances.

Get as much power as you can afford. Excess power won't blow speakers. Excess distortion and clipping will damage speakers. Excess power can also damage hearing, so don't blow your eardrums. ;)

I only quickly looked through these. I'm not sure on Buck's rec.
However, I would say this would be better, at least IMO.

EDIT:: Also I have used some of this companies equipment years ago. They were very good, but a tad expensive. Built like a tank. And the specs seemed to be very true or even underrated. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=601

Also used these, and they were not bad as well. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=225

6 Channel Amp.......

Also was considering a 6 channel amp as then i can have amplification for all 4 speakers and my woofer ....what do you guys think of this http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.aspx?ProdId='REF5761A'&Ser=REF&Cat=AMP

Do you think its a qood quality Amp?

Im not a serious guy who wants a audiophile grade quality...im even happy with my pioneer head unit running four pioneer speakers of it, seriously !! ...but jus wanted a small upgrade, maybe a little better sound so i thought i could run with the infinity amp my 4 pioneer speakers and bridge 2 channels for an Infinity Reference Series 1230W Sub{ which i one at home lyeing there ,have but no amp for it as of now } 300w Rms 4 ohm Single Coil.....It would be an ideal all in one package...............You think itll come out to be a decent set up .I don have the budget or the interest to use different dedicated amps so that is cut out !!!

Help, Info will be appreciated thanx

The Pioneer DEH-P head units put out some amazing clean power, so you may be better served buying a mono amp. You'll get much more bang for your buck putting all the power to a sub rather than splitting it up to small speakers that run fine on the Pio. Higher end DEH-P's use parametric eq's for awesome tweakability and control.

Brian - nice call on the Phoenix Gold. I do like that amp better than the Power Acoustik, but it's more $$. I owned an original Fosgate amp, then a large Kenwood amp, then replaced it with a Power Acoustik amp and can vouch that it will drive two 10 inch subs to ear bleeding levels. I then upgraded to a Bazooka RSA 800.1D amp, and that was the end of the line. I think I've lost a few Hz of hearing. There's a point when enough is enough.

The Power Acoustik I owned was a gothic series. Excellent build quality and sound. It's not class D, so it needs ventilation - it's gets warm. One of the nicest looking units out there.

This amp will put a sub through the floor if you're not careful.

Pioneer is a perfectly good car audio choice. While my head unit is an Alpine, the speakers are all Pioneer (except the sub, that's C-V). For amps, you're probably better off splitting between the sub & everyting else. I have a 4-channel running the front & rear speakers & a bridged 2-channel running the sub. It makes for a nice, though not crazy system.

If you want to have clean, high output, and MUCH better dynamic capability, definitely do an amplifier on you mid/high range speakers. Head unit amplifiers are WEAK. The best ones on the market are only 20 watts of continuous power per channel, AT 1% THD!! To have any type of dynamic capability one would have to be listening at like 4-5 watts of average rms power. That is not too hot. Especially considering the noise floor in most vehicles at 55 mph is about 65db-70db. Do yourself a favor. Get a decent 40-60 watt continuous power 4 channel amplifier for your mid/high range speakers, and an appropriately sized mono or 2 channel amplifier for your sub(s). For lots of power, good build quality and a good price look into Total Mobile Audio http;//www.totalmobileaudio.com. They are a new company which is actually owned by JL Audio. Also check into JL Audio's E series amplifiers.

Francious,

Was that directed at me, or the fact that this is a home audio forum?

Not directed at you, you know your stuff. I just think he'll get more, and better answers at the link I gave. I definately wound't ask the people there about my TV, or reciever, or home speakers setup. I'd come here. :D
