Canton and/or Mirage Speakers

I have read a lot of glowing comments regarding $500-$1,000 home theater systems from RBH Sound (CT 5.1) and Athena (Micra 6) - as well as JBL scs300 & Energy act 6/take5.2, but never anything about Mirage's line-up (nanostat)/omnistat micro) or Canton's line-up in this price range. Any thoughts? Does anyone know anything about their 22-xII ($1,095), CD-1 and 6.1 mx ($795) or 10 mxII ($695)?

I own a few RBH products and have to say they are top notch,... the JBL, Athena and Energy are not in the same league. The Canton's,.. maybe, but I have never heard them so I really couldn't say. I have some MC-4C's, an MC-414C, and a TS-10AP in my secondary HT system (very similar to the CT series) you may want to listen to a sytem like that if you prefer a more traditional bookshelf type speaker. Also IMO the TS-10AP is a much better sub than the CT's MS-8.1 or MS-10.1. Unfortunately an MC system is almost double the cost of the CT. In any case for value and performance I would highly recommend any RBH system over any of the others you mentioned.

I own the Canton Ergo 120 towers, all I can tell you is that even though you pay a high price, they are quite good and accurate and are very nicely made, you get what you pay for.
