I have connected my PS3 using HDMI to BD input of AVR 3311. I have assigned BD input to HDMI1 (standard company setup). I can get audio but cant get video on my TV. TV is connected from the receiver through HDMI.

Can somebody help?

Does it work plugged into any other ports? How about directly to the TV?

Make sure the output resolution from the receiver is the same as your TV. A mismatch here is the commonest reason for this problem on these forums.

i connected the PS3 directly to my HD TV using HDMI and still no luck. tried switching off switching on, unplugging cable and putting it back on...nothing seems to work...is there a problem with the HDMI port of the PS3?

What resolution is your PS3 set to and what is the resolution of your TV?

Your PS3 HDMI port may be problematic.

However I would start by holding the power button down for 3 beeps (or was it two?) and then letting go. This should reset all settings on the PS3.

i connected the PS3 to another TV - Sharp - HDMI input also. Now it works...so that means its not that the PS3 HDMI port is at fault..its the resolution setting of the Pioneer TV that I was connecting first. Will need to delve into the video settings and figure this out. should I set both to the same hz - 50? and 1080i?

Both must be set the same. Look up the res of your TV and the PS3 and your receiver was output the same. Otherwise as you have found out you will have no picture. I was pretty certain this was your issue.

I've had this issue before.

Change the VIDEO RESOLUTION SETTING on the PS3.

I would second the solution that when the ps3 is off press and hold the power button until it beeps.
