Cant decide between ED and Av123

Im looking at the Edesign a6 towers and 3 a6 mtms for center and surrounds and an a5 350 sub which come to a little over 1400.00

My second option is Av123 x mtm towers and 3 x-cs for center and surrounds and an a5 350 sub which also comes to a little over 1400.00

I will be using a using an LMC-1 and an LPA-1 for my reciver and amp.Which out of these two is the best and is there any other thst might be better in this price range? Im kind of new to this and this will be my first real HT . The room is 14x20 that this will go into.

there is an eD thread going in the Speakers section of the AVS forums. The posters are mostly eD owners and are very satisfied with their purchases from eD. If the size of the speakers is an issue, you may want to pay a little more attention to the specs for the eD speakers, they run larger overall than the AV123 line.

I doubt you will find anyone who has actually auditioned eD against AV123, as they are both direct to customer marketers. Both have a return period, but return shipping can be expensive. Both have received good reviews and are quality builders..... I doubt you will go wrong with either, but my impressions from reading the boards is you will get a little more bang for the buck with eD.

With the eD shipping is included in your price. I believe with AV123 that shipping is additional. I think the A6's from eD are more speaker than the AV123 mtm's. The A6 is a true 3 way speaker.

Also you might consider an in-home demo of a pair of bookshelf speakers from both companies. AV123 is risk free on all of their bookshelf speakers so your refund includes the return shipping.
