Can this be fixed? How do I find someone to do that?

Onkyo HT-S3300 - this is a 2010 model

The remote no longer works.

Replaced batteries, nothing.

Went on ebay, bought a new one, specific to this model, NOT a universal. Still nothing.

So I'm thinking the problem is the receiving part, on the unit itself. Now what?

Thanks in advance. I am in Rhode Island, no clue what to do. Do I have to buy a new one?

Good advice.

Personally, I would do a factory hard-reset and see if that fixes it. That's probably the first thing Onkyo C/S is gonna tell you too.

You will lose all settings and it will go to factory default, so you may need to spend some time with a pen and pad to copy settings and connections, etc.
