Picked these up at S.A. for ten dollars...they sound pretty good actually.
There are a lot of similar Polks in the Orion book but I can't seem to find these.
6 1/2" woofer marked "SDA CRS" Date on woofer is Aug. 1985. Rectangular dome tweeter marked "SL 2000"
Ported box measuring 8 1/2" deep 9" wide 17" high. 5 way binding posts
with serial # 5JR08858. They are fused externally..Oh, and the port is located
1" directly below the woofer and has an i.d. of aprox. 7/8". Vinyl wrap.
Thanks in advance....if you have these...let me know if you like them.

definitley sounds like the old monitor line but the "ported" design is definitly throwing me off. Polk's from that time period were pretty well regarded. If you could get a pic it could help. you can give Polkaudio.com/forums (club polk sight) a shot too (I'm a member there as well and many of them know old Polks back and front)

either way, for 10 bucks you got a steal either way

hmm, wierd. same word for word ?!?!?!

forgot about that little monitor 4, looks like someone there called it (different tweeter, but Polk often had different tweeters as time went along, sl1000 2000 3000 etc

It's a ported 5jr as the serial number suggests I'd think...though I've only seen the PR models.
