Can somebody CAD me a truck sub box?

I'm trying to design a sub box for my regular cab Ranger. It's a tight fit. I've already ordered a Rockford P3SD-410 Specs.

The box will look something like this but my dimensions are slightly different. I think I can do a better job than this.

The back of the box is vertical and 11.5" tall. The depth of the top of the main box area is 4.5". The depth of the bottom is 9". The main box is 19" wide. That smaller area below the factory speaker is 5" high and 9" wide.

If there is any other info I need to add, just let me know. Thanks in advance.

I didn't see this until now. I can do it tomorrow. So the top of the short area below the speaker is 5" tall and works out to 9" deep?

The bottom of the whole box is 9" deep. The depth of the top above the speaker is 4.5". The depth of the top of the smaller box section needs to be determined by the angle of the box face.

The main box section is 19" wide and the smaller section is 9" wide.

The main box section is 11.5" tall and the smaller box 5" tall.

My box will be wider than the one in the photo with the main box extending more to the center of the truck, right to where the amp is mounted on the wall behind the passenger seat. Sorry if the dimensions seem a bit confusing.

Thank you. I really appreciate your help.

Thanks. PM sent.

I just got done swapping the Kicker CVT for the Rockford P3SD-410. I think I wired it correctly for a 2 ohm load. It's a 4 ohm dual voice coil. I wired both reds to each other and both blacks to each other then to their respective amp connections. That's right, right?

I had to slightly enlarge the hole on the existing box to get the Rockford sub to fit. As it turns out, this box was made from little more than compressed paper. I was able to expand the hole easily with a standard exacto knife. This baby needs a new box.

Sent via email. Sounds like that box is probably either some cheap wood or may even be fiberglass. I've seen boxes like that and they don't sound bad, but with your own driver and proper setup I'm sure you can get better results. I know I did when I built mine.

Thanks John. Got it.

I'll have to adjust for some dimensions I didn't describe very well. The main box is 19" wide and the smaller box is 9" wide (for a total of 28" in width). I can work that out easily enough, though.

Do you think a box this small needs 3/4" MDF or do you suppose 1/2" will be good enough?

That space looks too tight for 3/4" I'd go with the 1/2". Toss in a couple of braces and you should be good to go.

I drew it up as 5/8". 3/4 looked pretty thick, but for the size, angles and the little high and low section, 1/2 will probably be fine.

You guys probably don't want to hear this but I think I'm just going to fab it up from leftover wood I have lying around. I've got a nice 1" hardwood board that I can use for the front to mount the driver solidly. The rest will probably be 5/8".

I've done it before :) All I had was 5/8" so I laminated 2 together to make my front baffle :)
