Can I use this 5.1 set for a whole room?

And the budget is below $100, I can get these for about $80.

Are these any good, for such a low budget? (and in general, for average home surround sound usage).

How big of a room are you looking to use these in? They will sound their best when you are sitting close to them, but I'm sure that they could be used for a smaller room (say, 10' x 10' or similar). I use a set of Creative speakers on my PC, and they sound fine when I'm walking around my room that is about 10' x 10'.

I wouldn't expect a lot from those speakers, but in a small room they'd probably be fine. I have the Z-5500 Logitech speakers connected to my PC and they do a good job in that room considering the price.

I have a friend that uses Logitech as his 5.1 setup. He likes it but, as was already pointed out, it has it limits. It should do fine.
