Can I pair the KEF's with a Sony UDA-1, specs below:

Features
DSEE
YES
SPEAKER IMPEDANCE
4-16Ohm
FREQUENCY RESPONSE
10Hz - 100KHz (+0dB, -3dB)
SIGNAL-TO-NOISE RATIO
100dB
Power
OUTPUT (DIN)
23W + 23W
POWER CONSUMPTION ON (W)
65W
POWER REQUIREMENT
220-240V 50/60Hz

If so, it's for a small room but I have to be cautious?

Thanks, and should I expect better results even at low volumes with a full amp or receiver? I've just moved, everything's in the garage and have a broken hand. Too anxious to wait and hear for myself.

At low volumes it doesn't matter. "Normal" listening requires only a handful of watts. It's when you turn it up and the peaks demand power that you feel the lack of power. That's called "dynamic range".

Keep in mind that doubling the power at the speaker produces a 3 decibel increase in loudness, and is barely audible. An apparent doubling requires ten times the power. ...and music can have a dynamic range or 20 decibels or more. Movies, even more.
