I will be getting a pa 150 on wed, I have a huge living room and i want to get the lower end that the pa 150 misses. Is there any subs i could mix with this that are not a fortune? Or does mixing them ruin sound quality?
Thanks

Mixing is generally a bad idea, and in this particular case makes no sense to try to fill out just the low end. The PA150 has huge output 40Hz+; any sub that will have significant 20Hz-40Hz output suitable for a very large room will be a lot more expensive, and probably nearly as capable as the PA150 up higher. It would be better to skip the PA150 entirely, in that case. I would experiment with corner placement of PA150 to boost the low end.

That said...you might be able to get some improvement, but dual subs really don't work best by filling in holes - that's like using single subs for different frequency ranges.

The Hsu VTF-15H? Not speaking from personal experience, but I've followed that particular sub a lot - if you were going to try adding another sub to your setup, I think it makes perfect sense to instead spend the money on one of these! Heckuva sub. At 60Hz+ they'll be fairly similar, but the Hsu will *kill* at lower frequencies.

yeah I heard the hsu is the **** for the $1000 range. I don't think I will mix them, I will sell the pa 150 some time. I am siked here waiting for UPS to come up my driveway with the PA 150. This is the first sub ive ever owned beside automobile subs. it will probably sound pretty damn good to me for a while. PS ,its snowing like hell up here at 10000 feet in the rockies!!!
