hi,

my receiver yamaha rx-v465

my old sub is yamaha yst-sw315

i just buy new sub svs sb-1000pro

when buy svs i think want to sell my yst-sw315

but, when i read this and that when googling, in my mind i think why not i use my old sub too, so i go dual sub.

but, the problem is :

1. can my yamaha rx-v465 use 2 sub ?

2. if can how to connect both of them, use what cable, and plug into what hole ?

3. if can use 2 sub, is it ok mix yamaha yst-sw315 with svs sb-1000pro ?

4. what u guys suggest go dual with my old yamaha sub, or just use single svs sb1000-pro then sell that yst-sw315 ?

thank you very much

Two subs won't be a problem for the avr particularly, just use a splitter cable or adapter and connect each sub normally. Something like this would work along with the rca cables for each sub.

Mixing the ported Yamaha with the sealed SVS may not be a good match, but you can try it before you sell the Yamaha. You're generally limited by the weaker sub in a case like this. Having two identical subs would be a better way to go.
