I have a soundbar, which has a 3.5 headphone jack + optical input for audio, thats it.
My tv doesnt have RCA outputs, and when connected via optical cable, I can only control the sound on the soundbar with the soundbar remote.
Previously with the same TV I had a 5.1 setup with a receiver and all, hooked up through HDMI (ARC) and the TV remote could control the volume then.
I see amazon has some HDMI audio extractor type things that convert hdmi to optical and such things, but was wondering if there was a specific one someone could maybe point out
that would work for me to just have it setup like TV -> HDMI(ARC) Slot -> HDMI cable -> Converter -> Optical Cable/RCA -> Soundbar. So all sound regardless of the device played on the TV would work through the ARC slot, playing through the soundbar.
