Can I connect a passive stereo Sub to a mono amp?

Hi ,

I got a passive stereo subwoofer (Cervin Vega HT-10D) from a friend of mine for free. My AV amp Denon AVR 887 has not enough juice to power the sub (tried to hook it up to a spare B-speaker output but nothing happened). So I got a Bash 300 amp because it has stereo RCA as well as LFE input. The problem now is that the bash amp has only one output +/- . What is thebest way to connect it to the left and right channel of the subwoofer? Just pick left or right? or can I connect the subwoofer left and right in parallel?

To me it is not quite clear anyway how one speaker can have a left AND right input anyway. Any help greatly appreciated. i don't want to blow something up ;)

Cheers,
Tom

Yes, just pick left or right. If you parallel it, the impedance may tax even that amp.
