Can Anyone Tell Me What Brand This Is?

I'm trying to figure out what brand sub this thing is. I've had these for awhile, I got them from my uncle out of a repossessed car so I have no idea about any of the info. They have been in a box and the one speaker has the logo in the picture I've attached, the other doesn't have any logo. They are both 15 inch subwoofers.

More importantly than the brand, do they actually work?

That is a Rockford Fosgate series 1 subwoofer. That looks to be from around '95-'97 or there about. These were designed for use in a vehicle. Very basic subs and not a good choice for a home theater.

The logo is upside down in the photo.
