Can a Pro do better than Audyssey?

I have used Audyssey XT32 through my Denon for years and I would say it is much better at audio calibration than I could ever do manually.

BUT

My new Denon receiver is also Audyssey Pro Installer ready which brings me to this question...

Can a Pro do much better at audio calibration than just me using Audyssey?

A better job that I might notice a difference which would make the cost worth it.

Always was curious as to how much difference it would make, thought about buying the Pro kit but never did. Your title might be Audyssey Pro vs XT32 or something along those lines...was thinking you were just asking about hiring someone...

Yes, I was wondering if there would be much of a difference: A Pro vs me & Audyssey XT32

My receiver does has Audyseey Pro and I thought a Pro might use it. I am not exactly sure what Audyssey Pro really does.

And Yes, I am wondering about hiring someone. I wouldn't be any good at it.

It's mostly an installer-aimed kit. I can use it I'm pretty sure, already have a measurement mic and related software so just more of the same. I think they're phasing it out altogether now so opportunities to employ it are probably decreasing at this moment whether you do it yourself or hire someone with the kit. I'm as interested in the latest Audyssey/avr gen that supposedly will have an app to tweak Audyssey curves (like on the Denon x300 series) even tho I don't think the app is out and is many months late....
