Can a Denon 1912 handle these speakers?

I am thinking about getting the Infinity p363 for my front speakers and after reading the review on this site it seems these speakers are actually 4 ohm. Does anyone think this will be an issue with a Denon 1912 AVR? Thanks in advance.

It depends on some things like how big your room is and how loud you expect them to play, but for a typical size room it should be fine. I thought they were 4 Ohm as well because I did read that somewhere too, but Harman Audio actually shows them as 8 Ohm and with 93dB sensitivity, they should be fairly easy to drive.

Factoring in the sensitivity mentioned above as well choosing a 60 to 80hz crossover point should not be a problem for the Denon.

I own the 1911 which has the same amp section and drove some of my friends Dynaudio Audience 52's(4ohm/86db) with no issue to pretty loud levels for sustained periods. The receiver got a little warmer but nothing of concern.

As long as your room isn't huge and you don't expect earth shattering SPL's your gonna be fine.

Enjoy !!!

My living room is 18' x 20' x 12' ceiling,

I used to pair a cheap $200 Denon AVR390 with my P362 in this room.

No problem at all. Just make sure the speaker channel level is at least +0.0 on the Denon.
