Dear Experts

I bought a Klibsh 5.1 speaker system for the living room. If I dont want to install the back 2 speakers, can set up the receiver to channel all sound to the 2 front and centre speakers?

THanks

Yes

That would be done in the receiver's settings. Check your manual.

You're AV receiver can typically be setup with 'no rear speakers' as an option. Depends on the exact make/model of the receiver you are using. Speakers have nothing to do with it.

If you can't place rear speakers, I would have thought that it would be better to go with a good stereo setup or a surround speaker bar instead of spending money on speakers you won't/can't use.

Thanks Mark and BMXTRIX for the prompt reply.
I had the option to choose between Bose Cinemate 2.1 or klipsch HD 300 5.1
for the same price. I opted for the latter which give me the option to upgrade to 5.1 (should be soon) and also the sound quality.

I hope I made the right choice
THanks again
