Can’t use airplay anymore

So in just one single day, I can no longer connect to my AVR via AirPlay. We have five iPhones in our house and out of nowhere, NONE of them can connect.
IIRC the AVR, Marantz 6012 was set NOT to auto update but when I checked, it said it was current. I don’t remember the firmware number previously used, so I don’t know if it updated by itself or not. I also don’t remember an iOS notification for an update. So W. T. F……..
I do remember something about iOS 15 not allowing some third party streamers for vehicles or something, but this is odd.
Just wondering if anybody else has seen or heard(pun?) anything.
I did reconnect, and run the network check. It’s says “connected”, and “internet access”.

Power cycle everything?
Is mercury in Retrograde?
Decapitated a chicken and sprayed everything with Rhum?
Virgin Sacrifice?
Decapitated a goat, wiped your bodies with its blood and danced under a full moon chanting "Beelzebub?"
Thrown the phone at a wall?
Thrown all phones at the wall?
Thrown the Marantz at the wall?
Thrown the wall at yourself?
Drown your sorrows in Whiskey?

...

Should I continue?

:D

Thanks brother.
Yes! I’ve tried all of those things.(not sure about murcury though)
The only thing I didn’t do was the glass of water into the vents trick. It’s worked before, but thought I’d see if you guys knew of something faster. What…wut?

Maybe during a power outage your unit reset itself or something to default (think firmware updates are on by default IIRC at least). Try a full reset?

C'mon, Lovin', If neither Voodoo Ritual nor Satanic Rites could fix it, what makes you think a soft or hard reboot might?

:p

Omg. You only do that for HDMI 2.1 handshake issues! If he does that for Airplay all he's gonna do is make it rain.

Some of the advice given here... sheesh...

Are you certain? My copy of the book indicates HDMI 2.1 handshake requires sacrifice of their firstborn child. I’m certain that will change once they get it working, but for now…

Make it rain? Quick, if you are out west or in Canada near wild fires do it. There are so many places that need the rain

I just tried to play iTunes from iPhone to Marantz via AirPlay and no go, until I rebooted both iPhone and Marantz. Marantz remote on iPhone says I am using latest firmware and iPhone says I am using 4.7.1 software.
