Cambridge Azur 550C loss of power

My Cambridge CD player has suffered a complete loss of power. It had only been switched on for 1 hour before the fault developed. None of the other home audio components (all Cambridge) were affected.

I have tried changing the fuse in the mains plug & swapping the power cord for another identical one from another Cambridge unit ~ still no power.

All the other components connected at that time continued to work & were not hit by a "power surge" as they were all plugged into a surge protection distrubution board.

Any ideas?

Send it back. It is faulty. It obviously has a major power supply failure, or failure of the switch on/start circuit.
