I have a commercial Panasonic 50" plasma that was recalibrated via my DVD2910 (component out) just 5 weeks ago. My PQ was great. Today I replaced the 2910 with my new DVD3930CI, after installing my new HDMI terminal board. Via HDMI, color was way too bright, way too saturated, and PQ was not clear, not focused. I then reconnected the component interconnects (confirmed 3930 was outputting progressive), and the color seems undersaturated. But what bothers me the most is that the PQ seems unfocused or a bit blury. Could this be caused by my plasma not being calibrated to the 3930? <p>Is there a potential problem with having both HDMI and component going out of the 3930? Even though I'm using component out at this time, I left the HDMI cable in place, as I plan on having the plasma calibrated to the 3930 via HDMI asap. At this point, I've spent $1,500 (including the HDMI board and HDMI cable), and have FAR INFERIOR PQ with the 3930 via HDMI or component, vs the 2910 via component. I feel sick (and not from too much turkey)!! Any thoughts on what could be causing this? I really hope it's just a simple matter of calibration.
