Components that I wish to hook up:
HSU VTF-2 MK3
Denon AVR-2807 receiver
Cables purchased:
12 Foot Velocity Bass Management Subwoofer Interconnect
Velocity RCA Y-Cable adapter
The issue here is that the subwoofer in question has 2 Low Frequency inputs (L/R), but the receiver unit only has 1 Pre-Out for the subwoofer. The
"Mid-Priced $5K Budget Home Theater System" guide here at Audioholics lists the 2 cables mentioned above as recommendations to hook these 2 components up. The information for the subwoofer interconnect cable even links the 5k guide to imply that this cable will work with this subwoofer.
The product guide that came with the sub states that I need to make some configuration changes on my receiver depending on whether it is a Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby Digital unit. I have tried pretty much every combination of settings but I can't seem to get the sub to work. I have verified that I have the sub interconnect cable plugged into the proper pre-out jack, so I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
