majorloser Moderator May 24, 2006 #3 I guess the other question is, "What kind of cables are you looking for?"
D Don Harris Audioholic Intern May 25, 2006 #4 All cables! Component, Digital (coax and fiber), composite video and audio, and speaker. Looking for a good cable that looks nice and sounds good as well. Alternative to Monster cables. Thanks, Don

A digital coax is a 75 Ohm cable, which is the same as composite video as Sheep states, however analog audio cables do not have to be 75 Ohm. What that means is, not all analog cables can be used interchangably for coaxial digital 100% of the time (most of the time it will work fine, but once in a while...) because not all analog cables are 75 Ohm. You CAN use coaxial digital for composite video and vice versa, as well as for analog audio.

This guy made all of mine, and they're beautifully made and inexpensive. He'll even do custom work for really reasonable prices. W warnerwh Full Audioholic Jun 8, 2006 #14 There's good deals on Canare on Ebay. Check prices as they vary alot for the same exact cable and connectors. For speaker wire I prefer using mil spec twisted silver plated wire purchased off of Ebay. You can twist it with a drill. Locking bananas and good spades are very easy to put on. I don't even understand why someone would pay someone else to do this it's so easy. Quality connectors are my advice too. They cost more but are nice to use and don't bend or break like cheapo radio shack connectors. Knukonceptz has some nice Z banana plugs that fit nice and snug.
