Cables in brickwall for surround speakers, where to place outlet?

I am having my living room replastered and I want to hide speaker cables in the walls and add some speaker outlets in strategic places

Note the walls are brick walls

For my surround speakers, is it common practice to place the speaker wall plate where the speaker is going to be or should I place it at the bottom of the wall and then run the wire in a small trunking
I am not too familiar with the shapes of wall mounting brackets and I wonder if they could hide well the wall plate

I placed mine right behind. They were that way for a loooong time then I changed speakers.

What kind of bracket system are you using to mount those beasts?
Lol. I don’t have them any more. Those were JBL S-38ii’s studio series. Something like 30lbs each. I used vogels vbl 200(I think).

I do have the brackets. They are rated for 45lbs iirc.
I sold the speakers to a forum member here to help facilitate my Atmos upgrade. I kinda miss em.
