Cable Length Preference

Good morning.

I am adding a simple Pro Logic receiver to the mix of my system to get additional rear speakers plus a center channel. The connections to this second receiver would be line level outputs from the first reciever surround outputs to the second receiver DVD or CD or whatever line level inputs.

My question is this: Would it be preferable to locate this receiver by my old receiver, thus having short interconnecting cables and longer surround speaker cable lengths, or remote the receiver and have long interconnecting cables and shorter speaker cable lengths.

Thanks!

I'd go for the short interconnect and long speaker cables. Less chance of noise pickup.
