Cable compatibility issues

I am planning to run one line of this cable from a powered headphone splitter, which sends out audio in a 1/4 inch trs female jack. I will run this to a speaker which accepts one mono RCA jack. Will this generate excessive noise? And if so, what are my alternatives?

I don't see why it should create noise. I assume you have two speakers ad that they are powered and not passive.
