Hello,
I need a 25 foot length of stereo interconnects from phono preamp to line level input on receiver. I know that lower capacitance cable is needed. I have found 2 different Belden cables, capacitance for cable 1 is 17pF/Ft., cable 2 is 12.2pF/Ft. Cable 1 is half the price of cable 2. My question is can I get away with the less expensive cable with this distance, or is that 5pF/Ft difference that important. My phono preamp also has adjustable gain for the extra length cable, I was told I could lose 10dB with the the long run, so how important is the lower capacitance cable if any? Thanks in advance.
