I have a television that does not have A/V input/output connections. It only has a connection for cable. I have a cable box (don't know the exact model) provided from my cable company, Charter Communications. My current connections are the outside cable connected to the cable box, the cable box connected to the VCR, and the VCR connected to the Television. I also have a Sony shelf system which includes a CD player, cassette player and a tuner. It does have audio input/ouputs. Is it possible to get the sound from the cable box to come out of the speakers connected to the shelf system? I would like it to be in stereo if possible. If this is not enough information, tell me what other information you need.

Thank you.

Connect the cable box to the VCR, then pull your audio fromthe VCR audio outputs to the shelf system. If you have a mono VCR you're hosed.
