Well,
I did have a long post explaining my dilemma. It's now changed completely. I went back to confirm what I had written and in doing so witnessed a louder buzz than before coming from my speakers and then a loud pop. After that, my DVD input on the receiver stopped working. No sound. I was experiencing lots of buzzing coming from the speakers no matter which input was selected. I unplugged everything en-mass and also one at a time to see if it was a ground loop or something similar. Buzz never left. Then came a pulsating sound that would appear and disappear.
After all that, I started a post about that and then the louder buzz and pop happened. No sound from DVD input (digital or analog), but the others work.
Any thoughts as to what just occurred? I think something blew in the receiver, but what was it? Is this the beginning of the end of the receiver for the other inputs as well?
It's been running a lot, but at normal or less-than-normal volumes because I was letting my new Aperions break-in while I'm at work for the last two days.

I really don't need suggestions for receivers. I put this in here because I know you're gonna ask and offer your own suggestion. I'm really curious/worried about my above questions.

The buzz had disappeared from all other input selections. It's now back on all of them. Even the DVD input which won't let sound through.
I disconnected the Aperions a long time ago when I first noticed the buzz.
