buying sub need help

i am looking to buy a sub in canada . so far i am looking between a hsu vtf3 mk3 and pobably adding the turbo , svs pb or pc 12 nsd or plus and a axiom ep 500 . im not sure if hsu ships to canada but i wouls imagine so its price is 629 us plus ship plus turbo whick can be added later , svs has a dealer close to me and the nsd pb or pc are around 800 can and the plus is 1100 as is the axiom ep 500 , my main goal is a great all around sub that can hit low aswell as be musical . i have paradigm studio 20's , cc 590 and a denon 988 reciever . any input on what is better than what is appreciated also if anyone knows what it will cost to ship the hsu as that will a important factor seing how i can pick up the axiom or svs thus saving money thanks guys .

Just call HSU for shipping price I suppose. However, I'm pretty certain that SVS has a Canadian dealer. Also, I'd use the search function, and it might've been mike c talking about it, but I think the turbo might not do much for the 3.3, and is not worth it. Better check to make sure. Since SVS has a Canadian dealer, I'd go with SVS, or perhaps the Axiom (after further research). I think one has to be particularly careful with the latter, because certain models provide good value, whereas others don't.

I'd take a look at the Epik subs myself. They have some great deals and great porting systems. However the SVS subs are fantastic too.

If your room is less than 3000 cu. ft., the PB/C12-NSD would be sufficient. Otherwise, the PB12-Plus or Axiom would be better. And both would perform equally well.
