at the end of april i am getting a 14'x24' patio installed with 4 pillars two walls some stairs... pretty basic patio... anyhow i am going to install a 2.1 system out there and i am not really sure how to go about the install...

do i just run the wire under the mulch then to the speakers? or should i install some post terminals at the base of the wall and conceal the wire inside the wall...

just looking for some input not sure what kind of equipment is available to a DIYer

here is what i am getting built... the red dots are my idea of speaker placement. i guess i would need any kind of posts if i kept then along the base of my house... i wish there were outdoor dipoles, i would mount them on the pillars at the stairs...

Do you have any eves on the end of the house? If so, you can go with a pair of in-ceiling outdoor speakers.

Otherwise, you can go with a pair of standard outdoor speakers (ie Polk Outdoors) with just the cable coming out of the wall then going through the bracket and into the terminals. This give you the cleanest finish possible.

I think the idea of some speakers up under the eaves is a good one personally. I think you'll get better coverage from up high.
