Need help to choose a bedroom budget receiver. This will be hooked up to Infinity Beta 10 bookshelf speaker and Hsu STF2 sub. Need the capability for daughter's ipod connectivity and DVD player for playing CD and hooking up to a TV. Planning to get a mid budget DVD player for streaming Netflix and Pandora. Do not need things like 7.2, net work/multi room capability, 3D etc. Budget is about $300. Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

There are a lot of options, but I believe the Denon 1713 can be had for around your budget. I mention that model as it includes Audyssey MultEQ XT which is one of the more advanced room correction. Of course, Yamaha, Onkyo, Harman Kardon, Marantz, and Pioneer all have models in this range.
