Budget Docks and Hi-Fi's - Beginner Help

What would I be looking at spending for my first Hi-Fi system. Please take into account that I want to spend as little as possible (I'm still in highschool/only 16) and don't have a lot of money.

Looking for a basic Amplifier, CD, Radio/DAB with a pair of floorstanders. I would rather save up longer and get a decent brand for my amp like Yamaha rather than something tacky that will break in a few years for example.

P.S. Is Yamaha a decent brand for an amp ops: Like I said I'm only 16 and have little experience other than what I know from my dad.

Thanks guys

Also, I have around £100 to spend on a docking station for my iPod. I have found one which is £100 and was wondering if it is the best to buy in this price range. It should of been £300 :) Link below.

I am not 16 but too young in the filed to give you advice.
You will get an answer, but you need to precise how much you can put on your HIFI system and where you plan to use it (room size). Maybe what you like to listen to also...

Good luck.

I want a Hi-Fi now, Docks are too over priced for there worth.

I have about £100 atm but I will regularly save up until I can buy my next unit. Currently found these, which I think are well worth there money, so I will save and get an amp as well

TEAC LS-H265 2 Way Speaker System: Amazon.co.uk: Musical Instruments

I will be using in my bedroom and maybe my front room/hallway depending on where my Apple Mac is and whether my parents are home. My bedroom is around the size of 2 double beds with very little space left, not enough to open my door. The speakers will be on one side of the room facing me in bed I would imagine as it would seem pointless facing somewhere else.

My music tastes are; Drum and Bass, House, Deep House, Dance, Pop, Indie Rock, Dubstep, Garage.

Thanks
