Hi,
For the past ten years, I’ve been using Energy C-Series bookshelf speakers. Recently, I saved up and ordered the S300 mk2. I’ve had a Peachtree Music Box for about nine years, but the volume potentiometer is failing—it only works when fixed in one position. Finding a replacement in the US is quite a hassle since it’s not a standard part.

I plan to use the Peachtree as a DAC/preamp while I have a Sonos Connect for multiroom audio and a CD player connected as well.

I’m considering a few alternative amplifiers, including the XtZ Edge 300 and the Emotiva Bas A-100, which I can get second-hand for around 300 Euros. I currently have the Emotiva on loan, and it sounds good to me. I also spoke with the owner of Buchardt, who recommended Holographic Audio and Primare (though they’re pricey) as good matches for their speakers.

My room size is a bit of a concern—it's 6m x 5m—so I doubt that expensive gear will make much difference, especially since I can't listen at high volumes.

I have a budget of around 1500 Euros. Does anyone have the S300 mk2 and can recommend an amp they’re happy with?

Seems amp changes would bring little difference....why are you considering such? Never found Peachtree to be worth buying myself, tho. Peachgtree nor XTZ nor the other brands you mention mean a lot, tho
