I just purchased a Mitisubishi WS-55517 rear projection monitor while viewing my Scientific Atlanta 8300HD high def digital cable box I've noticed that pure red images in motion seem to break up into lines on the edges it dosent seem to matter which input I use component or HDMI or which resolution 1080i or 480p (my monitor wont produce 720p). No one has been able to explain this to me, I dont have this problem while viewing my DVD unit. I do not have my components running off a power conditioner though I am planing to purchase one. Ive also been told to purchase wide bandwidth cable splitters. I've tried high quality cabling. Any help on how to remedy this problem or even an explaination of it, would be appreciated? I'm relatively new to video however I've been a MECP certified automotive installer for 11 years, so details are important

Try to delete your other post. Just go back and hit the edit button, and look for the delete post.

If I am reading your post correctly, you have this problem only on cable program material a you indicated no issues with DVD playing.
Have you properly calibrated the TV? Perhaps an ISF Calibration?

I would say it is your cable transmission or that SA box. You may want to call the cable company to send out and have them compare theirs and your DVD.
