You can try an awl but that may mess up the pin or the socket. Drill a small hole in the center and thread a small wood screw part way in. Then pull on the screw to pull out the pin.

Might be able to get hold of it with some needle nose pliers or possibly hemostats. It looks like those little fins around the core are what's holding the peg in there, and there's a little bit of wiggle room to work with.

I’ll try some of those pliers first then , maybe a thin nail also could work ..

Try this!!!
Or maybe first try a screw that’s just bigger than the hole of the broken stud. Thread it in a ways and pull out.
Or a snap ring pliers.
Or a pic that’s hooked on the end.
Or a tiny flat blade screwdriver and pry it out.
Or needle nose pliers.
Or the flamethrower. Yes. Definitely that.

Oops. Didn’t realize the broken peg wasn’t hollow. Drill it out and use a screw.

Well maybe…

That’s what I saw….
Then I looked later. Doesn’t matter. He’s not gonna fix it anyway.
Broken plastic grill pins are a real pain. I had one on the KEFs that I fixed up for my daughter. You can't use superglue or epoxy because it doesn't flex and the pins break right off again. I used an adhesive called E6000 which remains flexible after it cures and has good grip on smooth surfaces. After gluing, the pin still had enough flex that I could pull the grills off several time and not break the pin. Magnetic grills are a blessing.

Agreed on both counts! Magnetic grills are the best! And e6000 is great stuff.

I accidentally returned it once , should had kept it . Thought I needed silicone super glue lmao .. not for this usage ofc but it’s not a expensive fix if it lasts long and doesn’t harden up like gorilla glue , those are a pain to re seal up .

I’d leave the grills off. I like newds lol.
Yeah but I’m not sure how to clean those dome tweeters everything sticks to them especially dust , so that’s why I use grills.. the dust attack . Sometimes I’ll take them off and prefer the look .. need air purifier right ?
Useful to know how to fix them , liquid nails ehh ??

Compressed air once in a while would likely keep ‘em clean enough.

Break off all four of the posts, insert them into the speaker, glue them in place. Then buy 8 small neodymium magnets and glue for to the speaker grill and four into place on the speaker and convert your old breaking pegs into a magnetic speaker grill. That's the way to take it into the future.
