I am trying to hook up some electronic components and I am running into a big problem. I am trying to bridge/connect a Yamaha M85 power amp to a Yamaha DSP-E1000. Is there any way that this can be done? I have the following components connected (all Yamaha): DT-60 digital timer, C85 pre amp, KX1020 cassette deck, KX-602w double cassette deck, CDC-605 cd changer and T-1020 tuner. This system is pushing two 400 watt Cervin Vega CLSC-15 speakers.

Is there anything that I can do or is there somewhere where I can get a schematic to show me how to do it myself. With that said, is it better to connect the speakers to the power amp or DSP?

Any help will be graciously appreciated in correcting this matter.

The speaker power rating is a MAX rating, not REQUIRED. You won't need 400w to drive them in a typical room.

You cannot bridge two separate amps together when one or both are not designed for this and you will fry both of them.

If the receiver does not have preamp outs for using an external amp, your best bet is to get another receiver.
