Well I'm looking into a 2 speaker set up for my dorm room that will sound good with DVDs and more importantly music. Its a military dorm, so i don't have tons of room. But i'm wondering if a 2 speaker set up with a sub would handle any sort of music i could throw at it. Also any suggestions on online stores that would ship overseas (to Guam specfically which is a APO AP address) that would be great.

Look around on this site.. while B&H is a great company and you should look at all their other products.. just say NO to the little cube guys...

why, you may ask ? why would you want to buy they ? all ya gotta do is look at the specs to see how they compare to everybody else....

BUT WAIT !!! there are NO specs posted on the little cube guys.. on their website or on any other !! No frequency response, no signal to noise... WHAT IS IT THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO TELL YOU ????????????

Go to B&H and look at their systems... they do have some OTHER quality stuff... one of the B&H kits or one of the Onkyo HTIB systems would be a much better choice. The quality is quantifiable, not just mass-market snake oil. Be an informed buyer.. not a stereo-fashion lemming !!

Agreed: DON'T go for B(l)ose. You'll just be sorry. If you get ahold of a multichannel reciever (that is, if you want multichannel sound), you might want to look into Axiom surrounds and such. Also, yes, that should handle any music. Assuming that you're using high-quality speakers, sub, electronics, and cables, you should be fine. As long as you don't overdrive your stuff, it'll sound great. And of course, high-quality cables means something like Blue Jeans, River Cable, Impact Acoustics, Ram Electronics, or Cobalt Cable. And honestly, if you're looking to get a high-quality product on a budget but without the *BLING*, go for Blue Jeans or Impact Acoustics. Just make sure that if you go with Impact Acoustics that you opt for their best Interconnects. They have triple shielding, good measurements, and are still cheap!
