A college classmate's mom was an ER nurse, and she said never to smoke a cigarette when sitting on the can in a porta-potty. A guy did that once, dropped the lit cigarette into the hole (while still sitting), and the methane, that had built up over who knows how much time, exploded. He had third degree burns up to the large intestine!

In all seriousness, it really is a great idea. Take something that nobody wants (and wants to get rid of) and make a profit off of it. Oil won't be around forever, but this source will! It does make me think of the Mad Max movie though.

Thats great that he was able to get grant money from the EPA to do this. These are the types of things the government should be funding. Not only does this save the farmer money by not having to buy electricity from the grid, but also costs of getting rid of said waste.
